Our Club seeks recognition as the most community minded rugby club in the western and centenary suburbs, where players enjoy the game, balanced against player development at the older age groups that encourages players to develop their skills at an appropriate level and achieve on-field success.
Parents Code of Conduct
- Remember, young people are involved in Rugby for their enjoyment, not yours.
- Encourage your child to always play by the laws.
- Remember that young people learn best by example.
- Do not publicly question the referee’s judgement and never his/her honesty.
- Support all efforts to remove verbal and physical abuse from Junior Rugby.
- Be on your best behaviour.
- Don’t use offensive language, or harass players, coaches, referees or other spectators.
- Applaud good play by your own team and the opposition team.
- Show respect for your team’s opponents. Without them there would be no games.
- Never ridicule or scold a player for making a mistake during the game.
- Condemn the use of violence in all forms.
- Respect the referee’s decisions.
- Encourage players to play according to the laws.
- SLEDGING – CANNOT BE ACCEPTED in any shape or form.
- Do not approach a referee/touch judge at any stage during or immediately after a game.
- Recognise the value and importance of volunteer coaches, managers and referees.
- Kenmore Centenary Rugby Club has Zero Tolerance Policy for any type of aggression or abuse levelled towards club officials including canteen staff, coaches, managers, parents or players from our club or any other club.
Privacy Policy
The Kenmore Centenary Rugby Club is committed to ensuring the confidentiality and security of the information you provide to us. To comply with the legal requirements and to run our club effectively, it is necessary for us to collect certain personal information about the people and players with whom we deal.
Information the club may hold regarding yourself or your children is in three (3) categories,
- contact information
- health information
- custodial authority
You may request details of any personal information the Club holds about you and advise us if it is inaccurate, incomplete or out-of-date.
The information you provide may be disclosed to persons within the club and officials within the ARU hierarchy.
Information will not be disclosed beyond the club and /or the BJRU, QRU or ARU unless you have provided written consent that the club may do so, or unless required under the law.
The information you provide will only be used for the purpose for which it is intended, unless you have consented to the information being used for secondary purposes, or as part of the normal operation of the Club.
The Club takes all reasonable security measures to protect personal information from loss, unauthorised access, destruction, misuse, modification or disclosure.
As far as permissible under law, the club accepts no responsibility for the unauthorised use of personal information in it’s possession. If you believe that any authorised representative of the club has acted outside of this Privacy Policy statement, or your specific instructions, please contact the President or the Management Committee.
Images & Social Media
Kenmore Centenary Rugby Club will from time to time post images of players and games on our various social media accounts (Instagram, Facebook and Twitter). The clubs policy is that any image used will not include any names, or personal information that could be used to identify the child.
Only the use of appropriate images relevant to the club and the sport of rugby will be used. Should any other type of photo be considered for use on publicly available sites, parental permission will be sort and granted before the image would be published.
Should you wish for your child’s image to be removed from a public site please contact us or one of the Committee and you request will be complied with as soon as possible.
